At the 2nd edition of the Grand Slam Masters Final we were witness to a fight among Levon Aronian, Sergei Kariakin, Alexei Shirov and Alexander Grischuk, who faced off in a two-round leage system between September 6 and 9, 2009.
Bilbao’s Plaza Nueva was transformed into the centre of world chess, and the soundproof chamber placed in it made it possible for all chess enthusiasts to enjoy the best of worl chesss from mere metres away.
